WCRG Fundraising

As a non-profit, we keep our fees at a minimum and any extras go right back to the club for equipment or costumes or coaching! The Club has the opportunity to host a coach from Turkey to train with our gymnasts this year. This is very exciting since it will offer different coaching ideas, a new perspective ,and new routines! We are hopeful this coach will be able to come this year. If the visa delays take too long, it may be next season.

Hillside Night of Lights Fundraiser!

The first fundraiser for 2023/24 is the 'Hillside Night of Lights' fundraiser. This fundraiser is offered by Hillside Shopping Centre and their retailers. They will host one large event on November 19, 2023 with door prizes, special discounts, appetizers, and entertainment; it is a lot of fun for both adults and children.  

Tickets are $5.00 each and the full amount of the ticket goes right back to the Club for fundraising. The best part is even if someone does not wish to attend, they can still purchase a $5.00 ticket and they are entered in a large raffle with lots of prizes, so the ticket is also a raffle ticket. 

We kindly ask that each gymnast in the Pre competitive* and Competitive* programs take at least one booklet and sell all 10 tickets (family, friends, neighbours etc.). 

*National, Western, Provincial, Future Stars and Rising Stars programs.

For Recreational gymnasts who wish to sell or buy tickets for themselves, please either support one of the Competitive gymnasts by buying some of their tickets or send us an email!

Some people like to attend every year so they will seek out tickets; so keep a lookout!  And if some gymnasts can sell more than one booklet, that would be great and very much needed!  Last time we participated in this fundraiser, lots of gymnasts were able to easily sell two or more booklets.

We will hand out booklets in small plastic bags with the gymnast's name on them at some point this week and next week. We have until the night of the event to sell the tickets which give us more than 6 weeks! One or two weeks prior to the event (or sooner if you have sold every ticket), we will need to collect all the bags back with $50 per booklet and any ticket stubs that need to be entered in the draw (for people not attending the event). You can also e-transfer $50 to the Club's email (please mention NOL and the Gymnast name in the e-transfer comments).

People wishing to attend on November 19 MUST keep all portions of the ticket. People not wishing to attend MUST fill out the stub, keep the portion with the number on it and stubs must be returned to the Club (in the bag) so we can deposit them into the draw the night of the event.

If you are having a difficult time selling your 10 tickets, please let us know; we can provide some ideas or perhaps others need more.  

Thank you   and please find below some important information regarding the event from the organizer, Hillside Mall:

1.	Each ticket is $5.00 (Your group keeps the entire amount!) 

2.	Please read the back of one of the tickets for further details regarding the event.

3.	The customer receives the ENTIRE TICKET – do not keep any portion of the ticket - they need the entire ticket to enter the shopping centre on the night of the event.

4.	If the customer knows they cannot attend the event, but still wants to support your organization and enter to win prizes - have the customer fill out the ENTRY portion, tear it off the ticket, give the customer the larger portion of the ticket to keep, return the completed ENTRY portion to your group’s organizer. Someone from your group will have to bring in the completed entries and deposit them in the entry boxes on the night of the event. We do not accept entries prior to the start of the event. Remember, this is only for the customer that is sure they will not be attending the event, otherwise they keep the entire ticket.

5.	Children age five (5) and over require a ticket to attend.

Support the WCRG Western Canadian Championship Team

Dear WCRG families and friends,
As you may know, we are a non-profit organization and we depend on the support of our families, friends and community in an effort to keep costs associated with our amazing athletes and their competitive development as affordable as possible. 
Our competitive team is sending six (6) athletes to compete in the Western Canadian Regional Championships in Regina from April 11 to 16, 2023. We are organizing a fundraiser with Island Jerky, one of the ways we hope to help offset our travel costs and coaching fees.
West Coast Rhythmic Gymnastics is selling Island Jerky as follows: 
  • Original (80 gm) $7/ pack
  • Teriyaki (80 gm) $7/ pack
  • Black Pepper (80 gm) $7/ pack
  • Combo pack – 1 of each (3 X 80gm) $ 20/ 3 packs
Deadline for orders is Friday, April 14th and orders take approximately 1 week to process. We will arrange a pick-up date or each athlete can distribute the product directly to their supporters.
